Metamorphosis

Benedict Cumberbatch performing the classic Franz Kafka. Fun fact: it never says that Gregor Samsa turns into a cockroach, but that’s the common interpretation. Vaughn says some kind of beetle. I think it’s a purposefully ambiguous metaphor for feeling unworthy of the love of your family, because Kafka was probably writing semi-autobiographically.

Now that my insomnia is on the wane I’m really just appreciating Cumberbatch’s voice as a talent in itself. It’s in the same dark blue, watery part of the color wheel as Alan Rickman.

Also be kind to my link, it’s hosted on my school web space (though yes, you may reblog). After an undisclosed number of downloads I’m going to remove it, but in the meantime, enjoy.
